In the championship game in Ft. Myers, FL at the City Of Palms Classic St. Patrick (NJ) won on a buzzer beater shot over Milton (GA) 69-67 in a very exciting game. The game winning shot was made by senior Jarrel Lane (UMBC) he hit a contested 3 point shot to put St. Patrick up 2 points as time expired.
St. Patrick (NJ) were led by standout senior Michael Gilchrist (Kentucky) who finished with 25pts, 12rebs and 5blks and senior Derrick Gordon (WKY) who had 20pts, 6rebs and 4stls and freshmen big man Dakari Johnson 9pts, 8rebs, 2blks and 2asts.
Milton (GA) were led by senior point guard Shannon Scott (Ohio St) who tallied 17pts, 5rebs, 3asts and 2stls, senior forward Julian Royal (Georgia Tech) 20pts, 5rebs and 1blk, Dai-Jon Parker (Vanderbilt) chipped in 10pts and junior sharpshooter Evan Nolte (2012) added 12pts.
In the 3rd place game at City of Palms Classic tonight in Ft. Myers, FL Mater Dei (CA) defeated Winter Park (FL) 84-66. Mater Dei (CA) were led by a handful of underclassmen including Katin Reinhart (2012) 28pts, Xavier Johnson (2012) 26pts and 11 rebounds and Shaqquan Aaron (2014) with 13pts. Winter Park (FL) were led by standout Austin Rivers (DUKE) with 28pts and Bret Comer (Florida Atlantic).
The Oak Hill Academy Warriors (VA) defeated Montverde Academy (FL) 58 to 44 to capture the 2010 Iolani Classic title in Hawaii on Tuesday night.
